I just realized a week ago that our Sunday mornings start pretty early especially if we are planning to attend 10AM church service. If we are on time it means we are up by 7AM, bathroom, dressed and out the door with a quick breakfast bite. Sunday service is strategically on a 2 hour schedule every Sunday without fail.
My dilemma is trying to keep the kids occupied and on their best behavior while I attempt to enjoy the service. I always brings snacks(shhh, no food is allowed in the sanctuary) in my bag such as goldfish, pretzels, animal crackers, cereal bars and sometimes juice boxes. In addition I allow my 9yo to bring his Nintendo DS(I will ask for forgiveness) don’t judge.
It was not until my weekend mommy& child get together did I learn about a church bag from @mmneighborhood. You may ask what is a church bag, well I to practically take a scaled down toy chest to every church service according to @mmneighborhood. In addition to the Nintendo DS, I need to add some additional “favorite” items with the hope they will be on their p’s and q’s. I think this Sunday I will find an inconspicous bag that doubles as my handbag and “church bag”. Another key element to keeping my composure during service is to seat the kids on opposite of myself and nana. (fingers crossed).
The L.L. Bean tote above is pretty cute- I may have to place an order quickly.
