The teen and I were out running errands at the local drug store, when a woman approached us with what I thought was a strange request. When we came out of the drug store, I asked the woman to come over to my car. As we were walking in I totally misunderstood her question. She was asking for money to purchase food. I know some people often doubt the intentions of those asking for money. I am in no way able to judge the intentions of others however if I have extra cash it may very well help this woman get a meal for the night. My teen even offered her the money in his pocket but she refused it. When we pulled in front of our door my teen insisted we stop and pray. His prayer was for all the homeless people in the world. I was shocked that he showed such empathy for the woman who was obviously going through tough times.
We are all blessed in our own right, so how often do you show gratitude and appreciation for your blessings?
