Workout: Own Your Age Workout
My workout regimen gets a little boring which forces me to look for new ways to get fitness scheduled. After discovering the video, Own Your Age, I was able to interview Lorraine Gantt, founder of Own Your Age. During the interview, we discussed her motivation for fitness, food regimen and the Own Your Age workout. I was very impressed because she is over 60 and committed to a life of fitness and eating right.
The following information was shared by Lorraine during the interview:
- She is currently juicing 6-7 times a day
- Meal prepping on Sunday, enough meals for 3-4 days
- Breakfast includes oatmeal, eggs with ground turkey and vegetables
- Lunch fish, chicken, eggs
- Water, vegetables, fruit
Lorraine also said to make a conscious effort to eliminate fried foods, fast food, white sugar, candy and reduce soda consumption. She also educated me on the fact “fluid follows salt” so monitoring your intake of sodium is key for all meals.
I did order the video for Lorraine’s Own Your Age workout. The video is very inspiring for those over 50 to get started no matter their fitness level. My preference is workouts with high intensity so I found this video to be tailored to fitness beginners. The video is great for someone who is looking for a fitness regimen that requires minimal equipment and a small interval of time. The best advice I can offer for anyone who is interested in transforming their lifestyle is to get started!
