CHILD SUPPORT…
I need to find an expert who can give me a thorough understanding of how child support is defined for my state. The website is overwhelming. My understanding of CHILD SUPPORT is defined as a percentage of money allocated to towards the expenses of a child(ren) under 18 based on income guidelines. Kudos, to those who receive payments that cover all monthly expenses. I will be the first to say this is not my reality. My reality is working full-time to provide for the remaining 99.999999999% of monthly expenses. As a full-time working parent, long-term sustainable income is a requirement.
REALITY OF….raising children in the US! The infographic below is based on a two income home.
The reality of what irks my soul is the idea that what is mandated by law is a FAVOR. Shout out to the mature adults, who understand the cost of raising a child(ren). Why are some situations so EASY with the right people? and then there is the other side of the coin.
There are monthly expenses incurred that exceed housing, clothing, and food expenses. For example, if children are participating in extracurricular activities, school trips, school supplies, school activities, medical expenses, etc. I must reiterate a PERCENTAGE of financial support does not cover the other 99.99999999999% of living expenses. As a single parent who gives a DAM about the quality of life provided for my children, I will make every effort to secure what is needed. I will never explain what I do, how I do it and why I do it to anyone whose opinion means absolutely nothing. Despite, the messiness people may bring, I will PERSEVERE! KARMA is no joke! My only wish is that she (KARMA) would serve it sooner.
My key to perseverance is to never let anyone deter me from my course with their drama and chaos. I will continue to enjoy every minute, hour and second of my blessings while sipping my LEMONADE!
