This is titled “Tranquility”
During my morning commute on Monday, I was listening to one of the local morning radio shows. Monday mornings are reserved for confessions, ****blank stare****** A woman(I’m being really nice) called in to say she was with someone’s husband while his wife was trying to contact him.
The caller reveled in this as she stated with pride of their 13 year relationship and he’s been married for 10 years. When asked if the wife knew she stated something like, she(the wife) has a feeling but can’t put her finger on it, end quote.
It amazes me how people can call into a radio station and air their dirty laundry, I just ask why? I guess people take “confessions are good for the soul” a bit too far. The caller was delighted with her situation and acted as if she was a “winner”. I was thinking, wow sharing someone’s husband gives you much to be proud of yet you have a reason to confess. I guess this is the new world we live in, share and share alike….putting the brakes on!
Is this a matter of not wanting more or just not having expectations or requirements? I am by no means trying to uncover the lack of standards or the need to want what others may appear to have. All I can say is, not to overuse a cliche “all that glitters is not gold” (shoutout to Trinidad James).
One thing I am happy with about myself is my ability to make my own happiness and dictate my own destiny. I do not yearn for anything possessed by someone else. My conclusion on the lifestyles of others is I have no clue on the blood, sweat and tears it took to be where they are. Personally I know the choices of this caller are definitely not the path I would elect to take. When it is all said and done, be careful what you wish for!
What I do know, This QUEEN wants MORE!
My two cents! #Winning
