My TWEEN entered my car on the ride home and I thought I was going to pass out! Why you may ask? Well obviously there was a battle with his sweat glands and he lost! I ask myself day after day why is it so difficult to remember his antiperspirant in the morning? It is always in plain view and accessible each morning with the tub of petroleum jelly. I have preached over and over again about the importance of using every, every day. What is the problem? Are there rocks in his head? as I have asked time and time again.
I am really beginning to believe me and this child no longer share DNA. Oh, now I must cover brushing the teeth. When the orthodontist told him having braces would require brushing his teeth 4 to 5 times a day I thought the TWEEN was going to pass out in shock. It is hard enough to get my TWEEN to remember to brush at least once a day! What is the comfort level with being alright with not brushing your teeth? The braces now come with a long list of additional dental hygiene requirements, another round of reminders.
Why must I give weekly reminders to wash his hair and cut his toenails? Does it get any better? I hope so, real soon! This may require an intervention.
