I love to try different restaurants in the city, as I am always in search of the best dining experience. For me to select a restaurant, I scoured the web to see the website and then I peruse the menu. The first item that stood out was the calamari on the appetizer menu and there was the Cheesesteak Pot Pie, ahhhhhhhh. Although I am Philly born and raised I am not the average cheesesteak afficiando. My yearly cheesesteak quote is maybe 2 cheesesteaks and I started to indulge in the chicken cheesesteak which is probably some violation for real cheesesteak lovers.
One of my classmates from grade school, high school and college wanted to do a night out so I selected the Square Peg restaurant. The restaurant is located at 10th & Walnut on the corner. There are multiple parking lots in and around the area or on street parking if you’re lucky enough to find a meter. We started our meal with the calamari, which is served with long hots(peppers) on the side and honey aioli mustard. Next, decided to order the hoagie dip(which I previously tried at a office function), this is ham, salami, pepperoni, cheese, red peppers, tomatoes, roasted garlic mayo and served with soft bread slices.

It was absolutely delish! and I highly recommend. My entree was the Cheesesteak Pot Pie, this is filled with ribeye steak, potatoes, fried onions and homemade whiz(cheese) with a puffed pastry. Another high recommendation. I love restaurants that offer a variety of appetizers, main dishes and amazing cocktails. The restaurant also has breakfast selections served all day.

Oh, and my cocktail selection was a Blueberry Elixir! Now this is the cocktail for you if you prefer sweet with a splash of alcohol. This restaurant is definitely worth a second visit. The menu offers very unique dishes even breakfast items served all day.
