I was looking forward to doing absolutely nothing for Mother’s Day. The morning started off with my caramel macchiato & reduced fat banana chocolate chip coffee cake at Starbucks. Somehow I managed to take the kids to the park but left when my fingers and toes felt numb. The weather this weekend was in complete contrast to last weekend’s 90 degrees-it was only 59 today. After we left the playground, my mom opened her gift and cards, and I was so happy to have a gift card to one of my favorite stores.
I made a yummy pasta dinner and my mom finally made her peach cobbler which she promised to make over a month ago. It was a very good meal and dessert. However, can somehow please explain why my kids eat spaghetti with no sauce?
My brother gets the comedy award for this Mother’s Day as he waited until the last minute to find Mother’s Day cards. He purchased a Mother’s Day card for a friend and crossed off friend to beautifully write sister. I will definitely enjoy the gift and try very hard to spend it on myself versus the kids.
The youngest was in bed by 9 and the oldest shortly after. Hence here I am on my computer in peace! I hope you all had a great Mother’s Day too!
Sounds like the PERFECT mother’s day!
ROFL @ your brother’s handywork! That is hilarious! I’m glad you enjoyed your day, and got the luxury of some time with your computer! I swear, my laptop is my other baby, and on the rare occasion that we get time alone to work–it’s rather sweet!!

Sounds like a nice day! I can’t believe the weather. We were suppose to go to the zoo but it was too cold and windy. I guess it was a good idea since my little guy ended up with the stomach flu that night 🙁
