On Saturday we were lucky to attend a tweet up with @mombloggersclub at Sesame Place in Langhorne, PA. This was opening day for the season and this year marks the 30th anniversary for Sesame Place. We invited one of my mommy friends and her two little ones. It was an awesome day and the weather was picture perfect. No clouds in sight and I believe the temperatures reached about 90 degrees.
For the first weekend in May, we were really fortunate. We enjoyed a very nice lunch reception with other mom bloggers and I had the opportunity to meet Jennifer J. of @mombloggersclub and my blogging and twitter buddy Jen of @jaelcustomdesignsinc.
During the lunch reception, we were excited to have Grover and Zoe visit with the moms and their kids. My DD was excited to see the characters but not quite sure she wanted to shake hands or take a picture with them. I guess seeing the characters on tv is enough for her.
After lunch we enjoyed the musical parade which featured all the Sesame Street characters, Big Bird, The Count, Burt & Ernie, Zoe, Grover, Oscar The Grouch and my DD’s favorite character- Elmo. The kids enjoyed the merry-go-round and a spinning tea cup ride which made me a little queasy. On our next trip to Sesame Place we definitely have to do the water park as my DD kept reminding me how much she wanted to get in the water.
