iCuba Restaurant Chestnut Hill – Philadelphia

by AJ on August 24, 2010

When I learned there was a Cuban restaurant in Chestnut Hill, I started craving a Mojito.   iCuba! is located in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia.  the restaurant offers live Cuban Jazz as well as Salsa on Sundays.  Initially I wanted appetizers and cocktails.  The restaurant offers different flavors of mojito so I ordered a mango mojito and it was absolutely delicious.    The mixture of flavors were perfectly combined.  For my appetizers, I ordered the Sopa de Cangrejo(crab soup) which is  a tomato and cilantro based soup garnished with crab meat and crispy plaintains.    I also ordered the meat empanadas which were crispy tortillas filled with seasoned ground beef.  I was also able to sample the cuban sandwich sliders which was a minature version of the traditional Cuban sandwich.  The staff delivered excellent service.

I look forward to visiting again for dinner, another delicious mojito(maybe two) and dessert this time!

I have always wondered about that place. Thanks for the great write up. I will have to check it with the hubby on Sunday and pretend I didn’t realize there were salsa lessons. Then I will pull my heels out of my purse and put them on as he stands there…
